Perinatal & Reproductive Therapy

Providing mental health support for women throughout their life, whether on their family planning journey or beyond.

Our Expertise

We provide specialized, evidence-based therapy for pregnancy, postpartum, fertility, perinatal loss, and reproductive mental health concerns. With extensive training and experience in perinatal and reproductive mental health, we offer expert support for mood and anxiety challenges, trauma, grief, and relational changes during these life stages.

Pregnancy & Postpartum

Pregnancy and the first year after birth bring major physical and emotional shifts. Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) — including depression, anxiety, and other mood concerns — affect about 1 in 5 pregnant or postpartum individuals. Working with a therapist who is specially trained in perinatal mental health is important, as they understand the unique challenges of this period and can provide targeted strategies to support recovery. Psychotherapy offers a safe, confidential space to build coping skills, regulate emotions, and navigate this transition, whether you’re experiencing persistent sadness, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or difficulty adjusting to parenthood.

Birth & Medical Trauma

When a birth experience feels overwhelming or traumatic, it can affect how you feel long after it’s over. We specialize in processing birth trauma as well as supporting families experiencing medical trauma, including NICU stays and medical complications during pregnancy and postpartum. Therapy provides a gentle, supportive space to process your experience, address lingering emotional or physical responses, and begin to feel grounded again. With specialized perinatal support, healing can happen in a way that respects your story and your pace.

Fertility

Fertility psychotherapy provides support for the stress, grief, and uncertainty that often accompany trying to conceive, undergoing treatments, or navigating reproductive decisions. Whether it be infertility, genetic conditions, or third-party reproduction, we have experience to support you through the fertility treatment process. We are a LGBTQ+ and single-mom-by-choice affirming practice with experience serving a diverse array of growing families. Working with a therapist experienced in fertility issues can help you process difficult emotions, manage anxiety, strengthen coping strategies, and maintain resilience throughout your journey.

PMDD

Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) can significantly affect mood, relationships, and daily functioning around your period. Therapy offers support in understanding symptom patterns, managing emotional intensity, and developing strategies to cope with the cyclical nature of PMDD. Working with a therapist knowledgeable about reproductive mental health can help you feel more grounded, supported, and better equipped to navigate these shifts with clarity and care.

Perinatal Loss

Experiencing perinatal loss can leave you feeling grief, confusion, and loneliness. We specialize in pregnancy loss, stillbirth, pregnancy after loss, recurring pregnancy loss, and loss related to genetic/medical complications. Therapy provides a safe, understanding space to process those emotions, find coping strategies, and get support from someone trained in grief and loss within perinatal mental health. You don’t have to navigate this experience alone.

Endometriosis & PMOS

Endometriosis and PMOS (formerly PCOS) can involve persistent or cyclical pain, hormonal changes, and ongoing uncertainty that affect both physical and emotional well-being. Therapy provides space to address the impact of pain, medical experiences, and how these conditions shape daily life, identity, and relationships. Working with a therapist trained in reproductive mental health offers support that is informed, validating, and attuned to the complexity of living with chronic reproductive health conditions.

Partners & Families

The transition to parenthood affects the whole family. Therapy provides a space to navigate the emotional, relational, and practical challenges that can arise during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Working with a clinician experienced in perinatal mental health, partners and families can build communication skills, process complex emotions, and find strategies to support one another through this life-changing time. We have experience supporting clients through the many ways a family may grow, from third-party assisted reproduction to adoption, through all the ups and downs of life.

Sexuality & Intimacy

Concerns related to sexuality and intimacy can be complex and deeply personal. Our therapeutic approach offers a supportive, nonjudgmental space to explore desire, connection, identity, and communication, including LGBTQ+ affirming therapy. It can also support healing from sexual trauma and intimacy issues at a pace that feels safe and grounded. Working with a therapist trained in this area can help you better understand your needs, navigate challenges, and build a more authentic and satisfying relationship with intimacy.
