Sana Psychotherapy PLLC ("Sana," "we") provides telehealth psychotherapy in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. This policy explains what information this website collects and how we use it. It covers the website only. Information you share as a client is protected by the confidentiality rules that govern our profession.

Information you give us

  • Contact form. Your name, email, phone number (optional) and message.
  • Appointment requests. When you select "Request Appointment," you use a secure form hosted by SimplePractice, our practice management provider. Information you enter there is handled under SimplePractice's privacy practices and our confidentiality obligations.
  • Benefits check. If you use our partner Mentaya to check your out-of-network benefits, you share information directly with Mentaya under its privacy policy.

Please do not include detailed health information in the contact form or in email. We will discuss your needs privately during your consultation.

Information collected automatically

  • Website hosting. Our site runs on Squarespace, which uses cookies needed to operate and secure the site.
  • Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, such as pages viewed and how visitors arrived. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your device, browser and approximate location.
  • Google Ads. We use Google Ads to measure whether our advertising leads people to request a consultation. This uses cookies to record visits and clicks on our booking button. We do not send your name, email, form contents or any health information to Google.

You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com, and block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

How we use information

We use this information to respond to you, schedule consultations, run and improve the website, and measure our advertising. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for others to market to you.

Who we share it with

We share information with service providers that help us run the practice and the website (Squarespace, SimplePractice, Google and Mentaya), and with others only when required by law or to protect someone's safety.

Retention and security

We keep website messages only as long as needed to respond and to meet our professional record-keeping obligations, and we use reasonable safeguards to protect them. No website or email is completely secure.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information you sent through this website by emailing info@sanapsychotherapypllc.com. Residents of some states, including Connecticut and New Jersey, may have additional rights under state law, and we will honor requests as those laws require.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information through it.
