Kristina received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Fordham University and her MSW from NYU Silver School of Social Work. She has over a decade of experience working in psychiatry and various mental health settings, including research institutes, community mental health clinics, and inpatient units. Most recently Kristina managed an OBGYN mental health division at Columbia University Medical Center - one of the first of its kind in NYC. 

Kristina has extensive training in relational psychodynamic psychotherapy from the William Alanson White Institute. While she works through an attachment-based lens, she primarily emphasizes the importance of relationship and fit between therapist and patient. Kristina is passionate about working with clients in the perinatal period, especially those navigating the impact of early trauma on motherhood, those struggling with perinatal anxiety and depression, those suffering through the aftermath of birth or pregnancy trauma, and families managing perinatal loss. Kristina serves as a member of the medical advisory board for the non-profit Chasing the Rainbows and has supported many families receiving care at CUIMC's Rainbow Clinic. As a mom herself, Kristina understands the complexities, challenges, and joys associated with motherhood. She honors the changes and shifts in identity, while also holding space for her patients where they may grieve parts of their “former selves.” 

Furthermore, Kristina is dedicated to working with clients undergoing fertility treatment for reasons related to infertility, genetic concerns, and third-party reproduction. Kristina strongly believes that no one should have to navigate these challenges alone. 

In addition to her clinical work, Kristina is passionate about teaching the next generation of perinatal mental health providers. Kristina provides supervision and mentorship to early-stage clinicians and has served as a practicum instructor for clinical track students and as an advisor at Columbia School of Social Work. In an effort to emphasize the importance of familiarity with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, Kristina has also provided continuing education and informational sessions to the mental health community.
