My Approach

Jessica received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan and her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Chicago Crown School of Social Work. She has extensive training and experience specializing in women’s mental health from the start of her career, including serving in leadership and supervisory positions at Columbia University Irving Medical Center as well as advisor to the US Pregnancy After Loss (USPAL) network.

Jessica additionally has experience as a doula, mindfulness-based childbirth and parenting teacher, and perinatal yoga teacher. Jessica is dedicated to supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, fertility, loss, medical trauma, and PMDD. She has experience working with individuals through NICU stays, pregnancy loss and stillbirth, pregnancy after loss, recurring pregnancy loss, and loss related to genetic and medical complications. Within and beyond the perinatal period, Jessica is passionate about working with those experiencing relationship issues, difficult family dynamics, chronic illness, and trauma throughout all seasons of life. Jessica is committed to working with individuals and couples navigating these life transitions and experiences.

Jessica is passionate about the power of relationships, both in the therapeutic space and your everyday life. She believes in the impact of the individual, seeing a ripple effect for relationships within families and across generations. Jessica is also well-attuned to the mind-body connection, leading her to become trained in EMDR in order to be able to help you reprocess stress and trauma, including birth trauma, that may be living in your body and nervous system.

In addition to her clinical work, Jessica is engaged in advancing the field of women's and reproductive mental health. She provides supervision, offers consultation, and teaches continuing education courses for mental health professionals to help expand access to thoughtful, specialized care for individuals and families.
