IVF Support Group
Connect with others navigating IVF, make room for what you’re feeling, and find support through the uncertainty.
Who Is the IVF Support Group For?
This group is for people preparing for or currently undergoing IVF, including those navigating another cycle after an unsuccessful treatment or pregnancy loss.
You may be starting your first round, awaiting results, preparing for an embryo transfer, or taking a break while considering what comes next. You may feel hopeful one day and overwhelmed the next—or hold both feelings at once.
Sana Psychotherapy’s virtual IVF Support Group offers a place to speak openly with others who understand the demands of treatment. You do not need a particular diagnosis, a clear plan, or a positive outlook to participate.
People of all sexual orientations, relationship statuses, and paths to family building are welcome.
What We’ll Explore
Topics may include:
Managing uncertainty during stimulation, retrievals, transfers, and the waiting periods in between
Making space for hope, disappointment, grief, anger, and mixed emotions
Coping with unsuccessful cycles, unexpected results, and changing treatment plans
Navigating pregnancy announcements, baby showers, and comparisons with others
Understanding the impact of treatment on your body image, identity, and sense of control
Communicating with partners, family, friends, and your medical team
Setting boundaries around questions, advice, work, and social commitments
Finding ways to care for yourself without pressure to “stay positive”
Considering breaks and next steps while honoring your emotional capacity
Group discussions will respond to the experiences and needs of participants.

Emotional Support Through IVF
IVF can take up more space in your life than you expected. Appointments shape your calendar, results influence your plans, and even ordinary conversations can become difficult to navigate. People close to you may care deeply while struggling to understand what treatment feels like.
You may find yourself grieving the experience you hoped for while continuing to work toward the family you want. You may also feel tired of explaining, answering questions, or managing other people’s expectations.
This group offers time to focus on your experience alongside people facing similar challenges. Through conversation, reflection, and practical coping tools, we’ll explore how to move through treatment with greater support and room for your own needs.
